dont leave me bleedin weebly!!

so it looks like Weebly has some outdated information to give everyone when using captions on images...

instead of clicking an open area  of an image gallery to change settings for captions, instead click on "caption" and enter what you want and hit "done" and do that to each of the images 1 at a time...

thats it....such a short post...

some of these companies give out good stuff but then...

you start wondering why is this stuff out in the open when it doesn't even get you the desired result??

all these years I've been wanting to find ways to clear messages (like channel chat messages) and having to do it one by one..

its terrible, its like telling the support staff on a ship to clean the boat with a toothbrush, and then asking him to scrub every centimeter or inch...its just too downright to imagine at this point..

hey look at the previous post... if you search on google/yahoo aka "the net",  you will still find they send you out of your mobile app and into a browser either on your desktop or your computer...but i found an easier way to create a subreddit, "within" the app itself and the post has been up for nearly half a year  (knowing its gonna take longer) and it should have changed googles go to answer or google search result to help the ones that get dragged around trying to find the answer which is "how can i create a subreddit from inside iOS/Android" and you will see that the current answer on google is "go open a browser and go from there" (paraphrasing)…

but this post is not about that. Its about a little known use of a  well known discord bot most people (like me, perhaps :),  that is part of the default set up of the bot, its the !clear function..

instead of taping/clicking on the 3 dots as "everyone" is told..

1. find the channel you want to clear

2. type !clear (and then) any number....like 1000 (but its hard to know how many posts are in a certain channel so if you are trying to clear everything, you would just hit !clear 1000 and do that over and over again...as much as possible...

3 voila there you are!!

so how long did it take me to figure this out...3-4 years...!!!

lets hope we can make this the text that ends up in the "internet search result info box thingee" and the reddit one and any other that would net me some likes and comments and stuff...like don't you realize that like with the previous blog post about reddit.....,...

that imagining you are in front of the fire all tucked into your chair and while looking up ways to create an award wining "like" subreddit you realize you have to open up browser and well, you know you might have browser issues that could stop you from remembering what subreddit you want to create (worst case scenario)and maybe you've decided to work on the computer instead but the the computer is maybe...like partially broken and takes too much time and that's when you ask yourself and on the net "isn't there an easier way" (that isn't illegal) and could help you float back into your chair  and feel better after knowing you have a much simpler and faster way of doing that....who knows what subreddits people never got around creating because of some inaccuracies that companies (big ot small) put out and don't know how agonizing it can be on the other side..

that's what this whole blog is tied in towards...every post is about trying to change the landscape when i can see the same question has been asked no matter what operating system or what...here's "a blog for that" the only downside is none of these "fixes" are seeming to change the landscape just yet, its just like my singing career, my blogging career (meaning life on the internet...I don't get paid for this)..and stuff...it has its trademarks and a whole lot of more interesting stuff that everyone should be chatting about in their lives but how many views do i get here and what's the benefactor of that information getting passed around? or helping other people..

take my YouTube channel, for eg, i have nearly 120 subscribers and I've only gotten to that after passing 10 years. Its stupid to think I'm growing slower than most YouTube...5 second crafts (mind my spelling) is now 69 million,  they joined after I did and get to 1million  mark sooner than i did... I'm not even one of those that can say I'm even steadily progressing like others who are taking a long time!!

anyways if my fans/subs can share this or work on getting it where it needs to be, that would be …awesome...so please share this to anyone you can get it to..reddit, fb, twitter Instagram so hey now that spending days or hours wasting time and can get back to what they intended to do.....btw i'm not , and i repeat NOT trying to get that done anytime soon...just hoping in the event anyone can get these posts to the sites that can accommodate this stuff it could lead me to having a real say in the world...

well ill talk you later...

Gotcha there reddit

So it seems like when you want to create a subreddit on an android or iOS device you have to load up the Reddit site but I refine that idea...
It's so easy on the fact that I found on the net is you just:

1. Open the app
2.tap on the profile image
3.look above the "settings" button
4. Tap "create community
5. Voila!!!!
Do this as many times as you wan

Before you make that call to your online health network

Heres some things that they never mention

1, make sure the webcam is pointing at your  face,  to change that just move the webcam itself
2.make sure your mic works and its turned on, also make sure you can hear what's being recorded by downloading some simple audio recording software like "audacity" and hit record and test out what you hear! make sure the sine waves are showing up
3. you're done, if you're making a call with the computer make sure you have internet... and have a blast..

.......

.......

but wait, while you are having a great call you hear a lot of jumbled and and echoed audio..did you check to see if the webcam built in mic was turned off? sometimes with separate microphones installed you might have forgotten that its still on....that may be a way why a lot of calls sound that way...

to turn it off

1 go into sound settings and click on recording devices and find the webcam name you have and see if its listed in the microphones list and right click and hit disable, I don't really understand why that's even there, I mean its a great idea but the webcam usually sits quite a few feet from you and most microphones you need to be at least 5 inches from it

try doing the call again or load up audaicty and check if this made any important changes...

let me know in the comments below if this helped!!!

its all in the memory, buckhead!

so for the last few weeks, i have been giving up on trying to get a computer i have been using in the past for fs2004 flights and stuff and recently there was a power outage that seemed to have stopped it from turnming on so i tried to fix it with online tools/vids but gave up after a few days and went over to another computer and used it for a while

let me rephrase that, one afternoon the power went off and the computer stayed off, i then tried to reseat

then after a few weeks (yesterday really)  i tried to make it work again and can you guess this, i made the computer turn on and am now talking to you using that computer

I tried

*note- some of thse fixes only fix things partially so try any of these out befiore coming to the abnswer that fixed it... try some of these if others work

*note-if you cant get the green light of the led for the PSU to stay on ior is faint then go get a hairdryer and bliow air into the fan (might need to keep your head back whilst blowing) and watch the littel greren light  become lit stronly and that should save you a new psu and anything you can think of

all of this i did running back and forth from anopyher room on a laptop so i had aklot of excerse!!

-moving the voltmeter from 115v to 210 and tried to start it and found it to be "UNSUCSESSFUL" (only will change anything if you are having a psu issue)

-unhooking up the vga cable and rescrewuing up the bolts that came loose to be "UNSUCESSFULL" (shouldnt hurt the computer if the small bolts that yiou stick the vga cable to suddenly comes loose  and try to tightren them with a tweezers or needle nose pliers, but that didnt change anything)

-taking out what i thoiught was the GPU (graphics) port, looking at the part i took out and realized its not the GPU but the SCSI modem port and resinking/seating it..."UNSUCESSFULL" (for this issue we are looking at the electricl part of the computer and so this may not need to come up unless something probes it to!!)

-tried hooking up the computer with all the keyboard and simple essential perifrials and still "UNSUICSESSFUL" (keep it simple here but it may not work youll just have to test it out yourself)

- then i tried seating and reaseating the CMOS battery and did that about 4 times to test..(this is a rather necessory idea to check and make sure its seateed because of the sense we are dealing weith an electricval uissue and idicator light gets power from the cmos battery so its really good to check. *note, you can replacve them with a regualr CR2032 battery)

-watched a vbideo on a simple way to fix black screen of death and that was to hit ctrl-alt-del while computer is loaded and to no use "UNSUCCESSFULL" but should work if the keyboard is hooked up

- then i came upon a video which made me look at the computer  and realize that one of my memory sticks/ram sticks was not hooked up propperly and i reseatted that and realiezed (at the same time) another ram stcik was seated but the latches on one end were not pushed in!! ... so i set the little tabs up, double checking to make sure that they are seated rigth and ready to start computer and tried starting the computer up and WOOOOOT baby it works!!

Try to consider saving time by having to check that everything is seated and correct (may have to just hold on to them and jiggle to see that they are seated proprely) and once you are done that jump to focusing on just the memory sticks if all others are tested and work well!.

You might have just seen where the latter of some of these techniques would save you some money and there is some money to be saved by realizing that most comp[uter tech nerds/helpers on thr net and in stores will tell you to get a new motherboard and a new psu if all else matters ad its possibly good to do that once and a while, BUT!! it doesnt have to be fixed or sold or get a new one... you can just do the ones that are elecectrically based of the ones ive listed and voila you have saved at least $250 or so (in any currency).

Congrats you have gotten this issue sorted out!!

Wednesday 29 April 2020

well that was easy!!

When dealing with power failure or issues with the PSU and there can be a lot of issues that could run you a lot of money that I just found out could save you a  bit of mine...

If you are looking at issues regarding some loose cables or where to install the  PSU to go check out youtube vids, it might take you a while...

bur if you are here to check out how to do a test to check out if the PC had power then listen up

Check on the back of the computer for where to plug in the power cable/cord and see if there is a green light

the green light shows you that you have enough power to run your computer and if its lit then you are good

but if you arent,

cover the light with your hands and  watch to see if anything is showing up,

like if  it blinks at all, you have something just not strong enough,
if it is brighter but not much is going on then you have power and some of it but it needs to be stronger

so here's what you need to get it stronger

1.Hairdryer
2.brokern computer
3.power from outlet
4.dust mask

take the hairdryer and plug it into an outlet, then aim the dryer at the back end of the computer where the fan is, and watch out for dust bunnies and watch that colored green light brighten and brighten, and once you are certain it's at its brightest, stop the blowing with the hairdryer and voila!!

you should be back in business within no time...

but that's only if this was your only problem with the computer right now

if you find that this helps and works please share as much as you can

When copy and paste dont work...

You may come upon a day where your copy and paste abilities might not work as well as it usually does..

Restarting Computer Option

To fix this just restart your computer and guess what it works!!...but.......

Keeping The Computer On Option

Doing whats listed in the "restarting computer option" can make things unbearable,  if you don't want to restart your computer system and you are working on something that cant be autosave,

So here's what to do if you don't like doing that...

open up 'services.msc' in any way shape or form
look for clipboard
stop/restart service
go back to pasting whatever you were doing

Works for any windows version after or before WinXP

when that fitbit notification wont swipe away (Android)

So if anyone wants to figure this notification thing that won't let you remove or swipe it away (like when taking screenshots of the lock screen!!) and it's bothering you here are some ideas to help you through it. (P.S. I'm nowhere near calling myself an admin just kinda figured this out on my own...

Sorry for the Length but when google's own algorithm picks this post up or Fitbit lets everyone know... this can might be a place to come and find the answer.

Begin:

It seems that Fitbit wants to mentally mess with us, you can either turn off the weird notification /sync page notification that stays on each day while on the lock screen or you can keep the notifications and get rid of the "keep alive widget" as mentioned above but it looks like you can't do both, which, in turn, bothers me because it would be good to have that as a separate setting in the section...

For those who want to have notifications on and but turn off "keep-alive" (which allows communications and does the background syncing, albeit without syncing any new info or syncing very often). please follow the next few answers...

1.load up your today screen inside Fitbit app

2.scroll down on the area where it says "today" like you were refreshing/syncing

3.tap onto the name of your Fitbit device (ie ionic, charge, etc)

4.and scroll down to the bottom and turn on "keep alive widget"

5.ta -da! you've done it

Windows Search Indexer Exits too quickly

if you still have Windows XP and are stuck with the search indexer and it closes unexpectfully then all you have to do is restart the computer and it will run again!!

But that is where you can go if you don't have any important programs loaded and it should make you happy and I hope it helps but there's a better way that allows you to keep the computer on and keep it on because it's a big "bite in the butt" to have to close down the computer when you have games or word documents running and have to close them down with the risk of losing saves stuff in certain conditions...

So, if you do have important programs loaded then

  1. you can just hit the start menu, and "Run" or if you have a shortcut to that you are using please use that,
  2. type in services.msc and hit enter
  3. look for  "windows search"
  4. and in the dialogue frame there is links to stop or restart, hit restart on only the windows indexer
  5. exit the services program and..
  6. start searching again and it will work again!!

That should fix it but it crashes sometimes and here's what you can do when it happens
